I find these paintings from Victoria Mimiaga’s series, Food in Plastic, incredibly fascinating.
Sure, they’re a little gross and kind of sad, but also really beautiful.
And they are such smart commentary on the way our food is (overly) processed and packaged.
Smart commentary with a good sense of humor. That half a bunt cake container? Genius.
And totally ridiculous.
Is it strange that I desperately want the Heart of Meat to hang in my dining room?
(and I don’t really eat meat)
I’m a funny that way.
