Strawberry Shortcake {2}

This bright top and simple trouser need little else, but a dash of leopard and a big ladylike hat definitely make them more fun. I’ve loved hats since I was a kid (I can’t remember a time without a hat collection) so I’m excited to show off one of my favorites. I scored this beauty at goodwill for $1.99 about a year ago, and am pretty pleased because hats like her are really having a moment right now!

Here’s the details:

The Outfit: Sheer Red Top from H&M, Chambray Trousers from American Apparel, Leopard Belt from Madewell, Booties from Gelati,Paris, Vintage Coach Bag, Rayban Aviators.

Makes me Feel: Like an Explorer.
The Photographer: My darling friend Carla. She’s going to be a doctor.
The Location: Sunset Junction, Silverlake. So many unique walls, so little time!

And a few more:

This wall and I called each other in the am. Tomato red. Jinx!

I’m a big fan of black + blue, so I especially appreciate the black band on my blue beauty!

Now this is what it takes to make me smile in a picture- a strawberry shortcake cupcake from Lark.

For Serious.

Any other hat lovers out there?
If you’re on the fence, I think fall is the perfect time to experiment!

    You look adorable! I love hats and fascinators, but sometimes feel self-conscious when I wear them. I need to get over it though because there are tons of fun options out there :)

      Hats definitely, but I’m with you on feeling a little self conscious about fascinators (during the day anyhow). Luckily it’s the holiday season and fascinators (or big flowers or whatever) are perfect to fancy up a cozy party outfit!

    I just bought a fall hat! I have yet to wear it though…I live in constant fear of messing up my bangs :P

    I love the outfit & purse!
