Kate Spade Pop-Up + Polka Dots

This weekend while test riding bikes and eating an amazing lunch in Venice, we stumbled upon the Kate Spade Pop-Up Shop… And after a few tall beers in the sunshine, we couldn’t much resist the siren call of those striped steps beckoning us in to one amazingly tricked out bus.

I DO so adore pattern mixing, that’s for sure. And even the tissue paper your purchase is wrapped in sport this gorgeous Japanese Floral print from Florence Broadhurst (but in plucky neon orange!) It’s all very satisfying.

Oh! And the Kate Spade girls were super cute and lovely about our obnoxious picture taking too. Thanks ladies!

So while this style post is a little light on personal style (when in doubt wear polka dots), how often do you get to play around on a tricked out tour bus? Fun. Fun. Fun.

And those striped stairs are still my favorite.
Someday I too will have stairs…

Anyway, the details:
The Outfit: Top & pants from J. Crew, vintage jewelry, DIY gold shoes, Bag from Claire Vivier
The Location: The Kate Spade Pop-Up Shop, at The Brig in Venice.
The Photographer: My friend Katie. I can’t wait to show you guys her (yacht) wedding very soon…

What’d you eat/wear/do this weekend?
And more on that amazing lunch soon…

What a great find. I was in Venice this weekend but I missed that! x

  4. Kira says:

I saw the email about this – on the one weekend I leave Venice, lol! I happened to spot the bus cruising through Santa Monica on Sunday night though – so cute!

  5. Charis says:

    I want this bus!

  6. Uncle Beefy says:

I know, Tabitha. You’re sittin’ there all polka-dotted sassy on those steps thinkin’, “Man, Beefy would seriously bust it out in one of these Broadhurst prints!” And, of course, you’d be correct. But, sadly, there is no Kate Spade pop-up shop in my neck of the woods. So, I will have to live vicariously through you. And, your lunch. No “amazing” lunches to be had ’round these parts either. Life on an island. Sigh.

      Le Sigh, Beefy, Le sigh.
And you’re more than welcome to come down and get crazy with some Kate Spade (and me!) anytime you want!
