Now that your sweet tooth is satisfied, let’s move on the the truffle fries!
Flying Pig started out as a gourmet food truck, but lucky for me (I could never seem to make it to the truck) they now have a lovely little cafe in DTLA.
And that lovely little cafe has the most delicious seafood curry ramen (a steal at 8.95!) that’s just the right balance of spicy curry + seafood without being too fishy.
It’s pretty much my perfect comfort food.
And to get back to those truffle fries (which I think also included parmesan cheese) and were double-fried in the Belgian style… Yum!
The whole place is pretty cute, stark white with (flying) pig embellishments galore and the most amazing little enamel cups (all different). Next time I’ll have to find out where those cups are from!
