Happy Friday the 13th! It’s pouring here. And I’m in my sweats smart work outfit chilling on the couch writing blog posts and researching craft projects. There may be a dog (or two) on my lap.
And so I thought I’d share my view of this rainy day in Los Angeles (so rare and wonderful!) from inside my cozy house.
I pieced together that little vignette from easter left-overs and it makes me happy every time I get a glimpse of it on my dining table.
And since it never rains here, I’m pretty excited to bust out the wellies and head to market.
Also, I’m starving. And my kitchen is thoroughly unprepared for this weather!
My little bar is also a bright spot on this rainy day ( and no, I haven’t started drinking yet). I am just super pleased with my two new prints: the cupcake from the lovely Laura Evans and the palm trees from Jen Gotch/Oh Snap. So happy & delicious!
All of my upcoming travel is already making me nostalgic and I’m certain those palm trees will be the perfect reminder of home taped to the wall of my New Orleans flat!
And finally, the view from where I am right now, on my couch.
Pink stripes and gold dots. Or I spy my new iphone. eeeeh!
It didn’t take me long to give in and burn that delicious candle either!

What are you making/doing?
Lovely! I love the bar area.
This weekend I really want to finish the painting of the Italian coast where we got married. I have been working at it on and off for months (ok, almost 2 years) and just want it finished now! I also want to create a little bar area with an old table- an excuse to buy lots of spirits and think I am in Mad Men
Ooh- I’m totally intrigued by the painting! How big is it? What medium are you using? I could go on and on…
