hello friends of glitter & ganache! my name is satsuki & i’ll be keeping you company today while the lovely tabitha is off fulfilling her taste buds in the land of the rising sun! (wish i was there too!) while she’s having some japanese food straight from the motherland, i thought i would share a little dish with you to bring some japan onto your dinner plate tonight. it’s a side dish using the ever abundant vegetable in many japanese kitchens, the kabocha, to whip up a perfect pairing with a side of freshly steamed hot rice. yum. are you ready? let’s go!

ingredients:
+ 1/4 kabocha
+ 4 garlic cloves
+ olive oil (for frying)
+ salt & pepper (for flavoring)
+ 1 tsp soy sauce
+ little bit of sake (*optional)

hope you enjoyed the recipe & a big thank you to tabitha for the invitation to be a part of glitter & ganache today!

Mmmm…oishi! Can I just say how thrilled I am that Satsuki agreed to share a recipe with you guys? I’ve long admired her work/blog and drooled over her tweets describing her fresh and delicious Japanese fare! And kabocha is a favorite of mine, so I can’t wait to try this when I get home! Domo Satsuki! And a big wave from Tokyo you guys!
