Persimmon Polka Dots

I found this perfectly persimmon, light-weight (but not too sheer) silk the other day, and snapped up 3 yards. Now I just have to decide if I want a giant scarf, a little shift dress, or an all-you-can-eat blouse for my thanksgiving day escapades.

What would you make of orange polka dots?
And are you getting excited for thanksgiving?

I can’t stop thinking about pumpkin everything and truffle mashed potatoes.
YUM.

Beautiful fabric! I’m so excited for Thanksgiving, and for four glorious days off!

Yes, after the truffle mashed potatoes, I’m most excited about the time off (and I get the whole glorious week!). Sigh. Only two more days to go…

I saw this an immediately thought “Scarf!” And then I thought “Oooh, a flowy blouse would be lovely too.” But not a dress. Not that a dress would be bad, but the scarf and blouse ideas call to me. You might even have enough material for both…

    • Tabitha says:

Hee hee- I definitely have enough material to do both.
Maybe not the time or inclination though! :)
I suppose it’ll all depend how that first thing turns out! :)

My first instinct is definitely blouse. Feel like it would work with skinnies or a great pencil skirt – and I love that fabric! I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Hmm. I was actually thinking dress! Mostly because I have an event to go to next week and all I want is a new dress. Plus I’m really into the blazer over cute dress look these days… But I love the pattern/color– it would be cute as anything!

Haha I love the idea of an all-you-can-eat blouse!! Right now, if I were you I’d make a scarf because I need more for myself in this chilly weather at the moment!! Can’t wait to see what you make, it’s beautiful!
